Watermark: Christy Nockels (vocals); Nathan Nockels (acoustic & electric guitars, accordion, Wurlitzer piano, organ, keyboards).
Additional personnel: Rivers Rutherford (acoustic & electric guitars); Dan Mukala (acoustic guitar, piano, keyboards, programming); Gary Burnette (electric guitar, dobro, mandolin, sitar); Carl Gorodetzky, Pam Sixfin (violin); Jim Grojean (viola); Bob Mason (cello); Tim Smith (bass); Dan Needham (drums, percussion); Will Hunt (percussion).
Recorded at Brideway Studios, Franklin, Tennessee.
Watermark, composed of husband and wife duo Nathan and Christy Nockels, released their sophomore project, All Things New, in 2000. Due to the outburst in praise and worship albums in the Christian music market beginning in 1998, All Things New could not have been released at a more perfect time. Issued by Rocketown Records, the album is acoustic praise and worship blended with CCM. The ten tracks, penned by the duo, offer upbeat guitar rhythms and gentler, more intimate guitar melodies. Songs range from the project's first radio single, "More Than You'll Ever Know," a song celebrating the joys of friendship, to "Glory Baby," which deals with the pain of a miscarriage and God's comfort in grief. Overall, All Things New is an uplifting, upbeat, and inspiring release, both musically and lyrically. ~ Ashleigh Kittle
