Christian hardcore warriors Hundredth deliver the second of a pair of thematically connected EPs with 2014's Resist, which followed 2013's Revolt. With a message of peaceful protest and rejection of greed, hate, and warmongering, the six tracks on Resist get into slightly more experimental territory than a lot of hardcore bands. Opening and closing with moody instrumentals, the four tracks that make up the meat of the album explore the use of synthesizers, samples, and ambient space rock textures, breaking up the technical riffing, enormous choruses and screamed lyrics of dismay, insecurity, and protest. ~ Fred Thomas
