Gospel music comes in many different forms, from the smooth contemporary R&B sounds of the Winans clan, to the friendly, down-home church music of Bill & Gloria Gaither. Some artists, however, choose to praise the Lord with as much gusto as they can muster, making a joyful noise in the most literal sense. J.J. Hairston and Youthful Praise are one of these artists, and RESTING ON HIS PROMISE showcases the ensemble at its most energetic and spirited.
